Take a ridiculously long sword on a Slash Quest on Apple Arcade

Getting used to a talking sword that keeps growing and growing is part of the fun of Slash Quest.

Slash Quest is a hero’s journey where the sword is the hero. Shep the simple shepard is just along for the ride as Swordie the talking sword sets off on a quest to save the Queendom.

Slash Quest from Noodlecake debuted Friday on Apple Arcade.

Noodlecake says of its latest title, “Forget your power fantasy. Slash Quest’s simple yet unfamiliar controls will put you in the shoes of an unlikely knight with a big heart, an even bigger weapon, and absolutely zero skills. But worry not! Just like Shep and Swordie’s friendship, before you know it everything will feel right and everyone will be counting on you to save the Queendom.“

The game offers twelve unique levels, side quests, boss fights, and a dozen upgradable skills.

This single-player adventure game is is available for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. And it supports the PlayStation DualShock 4, Xbox Wireless and MFi external controllers.

Slash Quest launched Friday only on Apple Arcade. Playing costs $4.99 per month, but this gaming service also includes more than 100 other titles. And there are no hidden fees, as in-app purchases, ads and loot boxes are banned.

Similar games on the service include Marble KnightsSamurai Jack: Battle Through Time, Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm and Towers of Everland.
